Recording/Production
Our productions differ a lot from case to case in our way to go about, but we always
work together with the bands to reach a good result. Quite often we work more closely with the band
even before the recording phase, giving tips and pointers on what "works" in the recording session
and what might be good to look over or to think about to get the best possible result.
Mixing
Apart from full-scale productions, we also work a lot with mixing of material that has been recorded elsewhere. Sometimes
it's simply a question of budget, other times it might be old recordings that need to be brushed up.
Either way, we always work hard to meet our clients' demand and to make the recordings sound their absolute best.
If you are interested in working with us for mixing, it's always best to get in touch with us BEFORE you start the actual
recording, so we can give you some pointers on how to make the best possible recording based on the equipment you have available.
Please note that mixing sessions can be attended or unattended. In other words, you do not have to show up in the studio for it.
We can work from specified instructions from the client. In cases of unattended sessions, we usually upload examples of the works
for approval during the session.
Mastering
Mastering is the final stage a recording goes through before its release. Our job is to make sure it is sonically balanced,
that it will work on a wide range of systems and to make sure that the album "flows" in a good way, with proper
song spacing and fades. The process is also important because it gives an impartial view by experienced ears.
It is always good to get in touch as early as possible in the production process, so that the mix will sound
its absolute best when it reaches us.
Just as with mixing, mastering sessions don't have to be attended. We upload examples of the work for approval upon request, and one
revision is usually free of charge.
